Dhanya Mary Varghese was born on 17 Sepetember 1985 in Idayar, Koothattukulam, Kerala, India. Her father’s name is Varghese and her mother’s name is Sheeba. She has a younger brother named Dixon Paul Varghese who is working as a Station Master in Southern Railway.
She went to Little Flower Girls High School, Vadakara, St. Josephs Higher Secondary School andM.K.M. Higher Secondary School, Piravom to complete her schooling. She graduated from St. Teresa’s College in Kochi.
In 2011, she got engaged to John who is the winner of the Tharolsavam program that aired on the Kairali channel. The couple got married on 9 January 2012 in Trivandrum. She decided to quit the film industry after getting married and the couple has one boy – Johan.

Career
Dhanya Varghese started her career as a junior artist and was one of the group dancers in the move Swapnam Kondu Thulabharam. In 2006, she made her Tamil debut in “Thirudi” and later made her acting debut in the Malayalam film industry in “Namma” movie.
She gained more popularity when she appeared in the Thalappavu movie. She then got opportunities to feature in films like Vairam: Fight For Justice, Kerala Cafe and Nayakari. In 2010, she appeared as a guest judge in the reality music show, Idea Star Singer which aired on Asianet.
Varghese made her television debut in “Deivathinte Swantham Devooty” and went on to appear in a few more television serials. In 2022, she made her entry into the 4th season of Bigg Boss Malayalam, hosted by Mohanlal.
