Rasikh Salam was born on April 05, 2001(age [calculate_years datestring=”04/05/2001″] Years) in Kulgam district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. His father, Ab Salam Dar, is a teacher by profession.

Career:
Rasikh Salam could not impress the selectors as he was rejected for the U19 team. But, he did not stop his hard work and picked up a hat-trick in the practice match at Sheri-Kashmir Cricket Stadium.
He was picked by the Jammu and Kashmir Senior team for the preparatory tour to Andhra Pradesh. Rasikh was then spotted by the former Indian pacer, Irfan Pathan.
The right-arm pacer made his List-A debut in 2018 when he played for Jammu and Kashmir in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. In the same year, he went on to play his first Ranji Trophy game for his state.
In February 2019, he played his first T20 game for Jammu & Kashmir in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His impressive performance was spotted by the scout team of Mumbai Indians.

In the IPL Auction 2019, he was picked up by the Mumbai Indians at a base price of INR 20 lakh. However, things got worse when he was banned for two years by BCCI for age-fudging.
When he was serving a ban, he was training with the Mumbai Indians academy. However, the most successful IPL franchise did not show interest in him during the IPL Auction 2022.
Later, Kolkata Knight Riders acquired his service at a price of INR 20 Lakh in 2022. He got an opportunity to showcase his skills for Kolkata against his former team and troubled the batsmen with his swing.
