Chandra Mohan Paramalingam was born on 02 June 1981 (age [calculate_years datestring=”07/02/1981″]Years) in Batticaloa District, Sri Lanka. He was born to her father, Paramalingam in a Tamil-based middle-class family. He did his schooling in Bt/vantharumoolai M.M.V and joined Chenkalady Central College for his college degree.
Chandru is married to his girlfriend RJ Menaka on 12th June. The couple has blessed with a son Midhunesh on 9th July 2015.

Career
After completing his studies, RJ Chandru is moved to The capital city of Sri Lanka, Colombo to pursue his career. He went for an audition for the role of Radio Jockey in Sooriyan FM and got selected.
Sooriyan FM is a popular Tamil radio in Sri Lanka and Chandru became one of the faces of the channel. he hosted daily shows along with his wife RJ Menaka. He advanced to Senior Manager Programming in Sooriyan FM before quitting his job.
In January 2020, Chandru and his wife Menaka decided to quit their Radio Jockey job to start a YouTube. They started a channel named ‘RJ Chandru & Menaka Comedy‘ and begin to upload day-to-day life funny sketch comedy between husband vs wife.
The channel became popular in a quick time and they got views from Tamil audiences across the globe mostly from Tamil Nadu, India. He also started his second youtube channel named ‘RJ Chandru Vlogs‘ in which he post his videos on exploring Sri Lanka and his day-to-day life.
In December 2021, he collaborated with Tamil Trekker Bhuvani dharan Youtube creator while he toured Sri Lanka. ‘RJ Chandru & Menaka Comedy’ is the top subscribed Tamil YouTubers in Sri Lanka.
