Sivakarthikeyan was born on 17 February 1985 (age [calculate_years datestring=”02/17/1985″]) in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India. He was raised up in the same town and completed his school education. His parent’s father Late Mr.G. Doss who served as a police officer in Tamil Nadu and his mother Raji Doss was a housewife.
He went to Campion Anglo Indian Hr. Sec. School, Trichy for his schooling. And finished his engineering graduate at J. J. College of Engineering and Technology, Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Later moved to Chennai for his MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management.
Sivakarthikeyan was married to Aarthi on 27th August 2010. They had arranged marriage which conducted by their family. They have two children, a daughter Aaradhana who was born on 22 October 2013.
On 21 July 2021, Sivakarthikeyan announced the birth of his son on Twitter. The couple named him Gugan Doss.

Career
Television
During his college days, he was much interested in participating in cultural activities and performed mimicry like actors on stage. He was supposed to apply for Vijay Television‘s popular comedy reality show ‘Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru’ audition. With his innovative way of mimicking top actors of Kollywood, he managed to reach the finals of the show. He was titled as the winner of ‘Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru’.
By grabbing people’s attention with this performance, Vijay television roped him in their other reality shows. He got a chance to dance in ‘Jodi No. 1 season 3’ along with Aishwarya Prabhakar. Later he also danced in the new reality show Boys vs Girl seasons 1 and 2.
The popularity of Siva raised after each show and Vijay TV utilized his presence in all possible ways by making him as an anchor for the reality show Airtel Super Singer Season 3. Later hosted ‘Jodi No. 1 Season 5’ along with Bhavana Balakrishnan.
Finally, he settled down as anchor of the new show ‘Adhu Idhu Yedhu’ before he enter into the film industry. He also hosted Vijay Awards for two years along with Neeya Naana Gobinath.

With his popularity on the small screen, Siva made his debut in Kollywood with Marina (2012) direction by Pandiraj, and featured as a comedian in Dhanush’s 3 (2012). He continued acting in back-to-back films like Manam Kothi Paravai and Kedi Billa Killadi ranga.
2013 is an important year for Siva, he got his first break as an actor with ‘Ethir Neechal‘ direction by Durai Senthil Kumar. The film was highly praised by critics and the audience for his acting.
Then he reaches a new height in the Kollywood box office with ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam‘ success. For his back-to-back super hit movies in 2013, He was awarded as ‘Entertainer of the year’ in Vijay Awards 2014.
