She got married in the year 2004 and her husband’s name is Vineet Muthukrishnan. The couple is blessed with a daughter and her name is Zaara who appeared in the movie ‘Doctor’.
She grew up and completed her studies in the same city. Archana went to SBOA School and Junior College to complete her schooling. She graduated from Ethiraj College of Women, Chennai.

She started her career as an English newsreader on Jaya TV. She then appeared as a host on Sun TV. Archana anchored shows like Comedy Time and Ilamai Pudhumai. She then moved to Vijay TV and hosted the show Namma Veetu Kalyanam.
This show was a massive hit. And brought her the limelight. Then she appeared in the show Athirshta Lakshmi on Zee Tamizh. She also appeared as a judge for the show Junior Superstar alongside Bhakyaraj and Kushbu.
She then appeared as one of the contestants in Bigg Boss Season 4. She faced lots of criticism and she earned lots of hatred after the show for her character in the house. She then works on Vijay TV and hosts show like Old is Gold and Thai Illamal Naanillai.
She debuted in Kollywood Industry with the movie En Vazhi Thani Vazhi. Then she acted in two small budget films including Vaigiai Express and Yenda Thalaila Enna Veikala. She then appeared in the movie Doctor starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role.
